B.Com Travel & Tourism Department

The department of commerce and tourism was stared in the year 2015, with one batch B. Com Taxation and Tax procedure as optional and another batch with B. Com Tourism and Travel Management as optional. The first batch passed out in 2018. The Department is blessed with outstanding result and bagged various university ranks during these three years. Well qualified and experienced teachers are the strength of the department who cater to the needs of the students.

The department is committed to pursue excellence in Commerce Education. While equipping students with knowledge and skills in Commerce stream, we try to inculcate moral values, identity their hidden talents, provide opportunities to realize their full potential, create ethical uprightness and thereby shape them to become ideal citizens.

  • To develop students for professional career in accounting, finance, tourism, research and higher education.

1.On 6th August 2020, an international webinar on “Survival ,Sustenance and Restoration of tourism and hospitality industry: post covid-19 challenges” was arranged for students ,researchers and faculty. Dr. Anila Thomas, HOD Department of Tourism, JyotiNivas College, Bangalore was the chief faculty. There were 90 participants comprising of students, researchers and faculty members from different parts of the world including Canada, U.A.E, Bahrain, Iran and New Zealand.

2.On 27th September 2020,an E-Quiz was conducted as part of World Tourism Day celebrations.
